Reported Tottenham target, Todd Cantwell, once claimed that Cesc Fabregas has the ‘best technique he has ever seen’, as posted by Pro-Direct Soccer.

The 23-year-old admitted that he used to watch Arsenal as a kid ‘a lot’ and now there are suggestions that Tottenham are scouting him.

Of course, there are no bids made for the player or nothing concrete yet, but if a move were to happen for the Norwich playmaker then he would join Matt Doherty on the list of Spurs players who supported Arsenal as kids.

Nonetheless, this is what Cantwell had to say when asked about who has the best technique ever.

“As a kid watching Arsenal play a lot,” said Cantwell. “Cesc Fabregas, for me, he was someone that was (danger).

“You know when there are just in a position and he just gets himself out of it with his first touch.”

A player of Cantwell’s qualities would suit Tottenham’s midfield that needs reconstructing like the rest of their team.

Aide from Harry Kane, Tottenham’s midfield general, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, was their best player last season, and he is someone who would suit Cantwell’s all-energy and attacking style if they were partnered together in midfield.

Whilst Cantwell isn’t the answer for Spurs, he surely is someone who would provide more belief and threat than many of the current crop that have struggled, such as Moussa Sissoko, Giovani Lo Celso and Erik Lamela.
