The 22-year-old Aston Villa outcast failed to secure a January loan to Rangers but he could find his form again at Nottingham Forest.

Aaron Tshibola is due a slice of good fortune. After all, he appeared to be a key part of Roberto Di Matteo’s plans during his debut season at Aston Villa, only for the Italian to be replaced by Steve Bruce after a matter of weeks, leaving the summer signing out in the cold and his first-team prospects all but non-existant.

However, after featuring in just three league fixtures in three months under Steve Bruce, Tshibola could finally enjoy the benefit of working under a manager who actually appreciates his talents.

Reports, such as the Sun, linking Nottingham Forest with a move for recently departed Rangers boss Mark Warburton are continuing apace and this is good news in particular for the dynamic central midfielder who made his name at Reading, were he to turn his loan into a permanent move.

Was ironic claim the final nail in Mark Warburton’s Rangers coffin?

After all, Tshibola was more than interested with linking up with Warburton via a January loan move to Ibrox, the Birmingham Mail reports, with the 54-year-old aiming to add an energetic presence to an all-too one-paced central midfield.

Although the destination might be a little unexpected, it appears that manager and player could get the chance to work side by side after all. And that will undoubtedly benefit Tshibola after months fighting in vain for a place in Bruce’s plans at Villa Park.
