The Premier League is well and truly back, as Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch and Wolves manager, Bruno Lage showcased over the weekend.

It’s only the first game of the 2022/23 season, but there is already some needle, with Marsch and Lage clashing in a pretty heated exchange after Leeds beat Wolves 2-1 at Elland Road on Saturday.

As you can see from the video below, after Marsch gave Lage a mouthful following the full-time whistle, Liam Cooper, who was standing in the tunnel, chuckled at the Wolves boss, as he walked past him following that exchange.

Even young Archie Gray had a big smile on his face as he watched his manager giving in to his counterpart in Yorkshire.

Nonetheless, here is how it all unfolded, as you can see Cooper’s reaction in the video below.

MARCHING ON TOGETHER

With Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha out of the door, this was a pretty strong opening response from Leeds to losing two of their best players this summer.

There is still a long way to go, of course, but it’s the first three points on the board and a number of new faces impressed against Wolves.

Playmaker Brenden Aaronson was perhaps the standout, as he ran the show for the Whites, with Tyler Adams, Marc Roca and Rasmus Kristensen also impressing.

With only a number of weeks remaining before the 2022 summer transfer window slamming shut, it will be interesting if Leeds continue to add new faces to their squad.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, another striker will be added by the Whites, whilst veteran goalkeeper, Joel Robles, looks set to join on a free transfer.
