Tottenham Hotspur secured a nervy and ugly 2-0 win over 10-man Marseille in the Champions League on Wednesday night, with Joey Barton in attendance.
The former Premier League midfielder wasn’t watching from a VIP box, nor from the Spurs end, but he was in and amongst the Marseille fans.
Barton represented the French giants during his career, and as you can see from the video below, as posted by BT Sport, he was right amongst it.
ANTONIO CONTE’S SIDE GET OFF THE MARK
It wasn’t the best of performances from Spurs, who struggled for periods of the game, especially in the first half.
But Conte’s side are known to scrap right until the end and one player who is the definition of that is Richarlison, who netted a brace against the Ligue 1 side.
For the second game running, Richarlison was handed a start by Conte, and at this rate, he should keep his place in the XI.

Tottenham will take on the Premier League champions Manchester City at the weekend – and after beating them twice last term – they will back themselves again.
It’s great news that the depth within the squad is now beginning to show because that’s why the club broke their club-record transfer fee for Richarlison.
Conte didn’t want the levels to drop when making changes, and with Dejan Kulusevski now on the bench, it is proving to be the case.
