HITC understands that Victor Osimhen’s talks with Chelsea continue despite Al-Ahli wanting to bring the forward to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Chelsea look set to be in for a busy summer deadline with the Blues potentially seeing two incoming and one outgoing from the club this summer.

HITC understands that Chelsea are progressing in talks with Manchester United over a deal for Jadon Sancho.

Juventus had been in talks with United over a move for Sancho but it now appears that Enzo Maresca’s side are closing in on a deal for the English winger.

As well as the addition of Sancho, Victor Osimhen is a name that remains on Chelsea fans’ lips despite the Nigerian being on the verge of a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Chelsea not giving up hope of Victor Osimhen deal

Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli have struck an agreement on personal terms with Osimhen as the Nigerian is set to earn £600,000 a week in principle.

As well as this, a fee has been agreed with Napoli, worth €80 million (£67 million) but issues have arisen over bonuses and other payments which have caused concern to those from the Middle Eastern club.

Despite his agreement with Al-Alhi – Osimhen’s representatives have continued talks with Chelsea, who have a delegation in Naples holding talks with the Serie A outfit about a potential deal.

Al-Alhi are pushing for a deal for Osimhen, but they have also agreed terms with Ivan Toney. The Saudi Pro League side have struck a £40 million agreement with Brentford but it remains to be seen if Al-Ahli would be willing to do both deals.

Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney prepared to wait

Crucially, the summer transfer window in the Premier League and Serie A closes sooner than the Saudi Pro League window, this gives some leverage to both Osimhen and Toney.

HITC has been told that the Saudi Pro League wants both players and if they both arrived and Al-Ahli did not sign them both, then one of these players could end up at another club.

With neither deal needing to be confirmed by Al-Ahli until Monday – it does mean that neither Osimhen or Toney need to sign their deals until the European window closes on Friday.

Chelsea have been in talks with Napoli over a deal for Osimhen for the best part of a month and this would be some deal to pull off before the deadline.
