HITC sources confirm that Chelsea are progressing with talks over a deal for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils are looking to find a solution for Jadon Sancho with just hours remaining until the transfer window slams shut.

Juventus had made an offer to sign Sancho on loan, but the Serie A giants did not want to include an obligation to buy the England international within the deal.

Manchester United would prefer to offload Sancho permanently and would like to include an obligation-to-buy clause so they do not find themselves in a similar situation this time next summer.

Chelsea have shown an interest in Sancho and initially looked to include Raheem Sterling in a potential swap deal.

HITC can confirm that Chelsea have now submitted an official loan bid for Sancho.

Details of Chelsea’s loan bid for Jadon Sancho

Chelsea initially wanted to include either Raheem Sterling or Ben Chilwell in a potential swap deal for Sancho, but United rejected the chance to sign either of the Blues duo.

United held exploratory talks with Chelsea over a move for Sterling but the deal for Sancho is now a standalone offer.

HITC understands that Chelsea’s loan offer for Sancho is similar to the offer from Juventus, but it is believed to include a higher loan fee and cover a larger portion of his wages.

The offer from Juventus planned to cover around half of Sancho’s wages, but Chelsea are willing to contribute more.

As it stands, Chelsea’s offer also does not include an obligation to buy, despite the wishes of United.

What Jadon Sancho is thinking about Chelsea move

Sancho now has two offers on his table and HITC is told that he has not ruled out a move to Juventus.

However, Sancho, a boyhood Chelsea fan, is keen on joining Chelsea and moving back to London has always been an ambition.

Talks are still ongoing between both clubs as they look to reach a final agreement.
