HITC understands that Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has agreed a move away from the Italian club this summer.

During the final hours of the summer transfer window, Chelsea remained hopeful of signing Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen but the Blues could not get a deal done in time to sign the 25-year-old.

Despite the deal to take Osimhen to the Premier League failing to materialise, the Nigerian forward had another option with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli agreeing terms with Osimhen but the Middle Eastern club encountered some problems trying to get the signing over the line.

However, now HITC understands that a third option has emerged for Osimhen and a deal has been agreed with Napoli.

Victor Osimhen closing in on Galatasaray loan

HITC understands that Napoli and Turkish giants Galatasaray have come to an agreement over a prospective loan move for Victor Osimhen to depart the Italian giants.

As HITC revealed, the Saudi Pro League maintained an interest in landing Osimhen after they reached an agreement with Napoli last week – but, as mentioned, that deal stalled and they instead signed Ivan Toney.

Toney was attracting interest from Arsenal and Tottenham but neither London side ever made a move for the Englishman so he decided a move to the Saudi Pro League was the best decision for his career.

However, Osimhen has ruled out a move to Saudi but with Napoli unwilling to reintroduce himself to their squad he has been left with little option to move.

Over the weekend, Napoli manager Antonio Conte was asked about whether Osimhen could be reintegrated into his squad and was unequivocal in his response.

“Of course, if Osimhen had been sold, we would have completed the situation better,” Conte said suggesting that he wanted the Nigerian gone.

Galatasaray strike deal for Osimhen

It appears that Conte is set to get his wish with HITC understanding that Gala have struck a deal for the Nigerian superstar to join the club.

Gala have agreed a one-year loan with an option, but the finer details are yet to be finalised – HITC understands Osimhen is insisting on a break-clause in January.

Sources have told HITC that Osimhen wants to have the ability to assess his options in the New Year, which could include fresh interest in his services after Chelsea failed to agree a deal for Osimhen on deadline day.
