The transfer window closes in just under a week, and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been spotted with club owner Stan Kroenke in America.
A video posted onto Twitter relayed by Goal reporter Charles Watts shows the Gunners boss and the American businessman watching an NHL side the Colorado Avalanche beat the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night in Denver.
The Avalanche, just like Arsenal, are owned by Kroenke, who has been fiercely criticised by supporters for his ownership of the club in recent years, which is what makes Arteta’s appearance with the American a surprise.
Indeed, it has been a busy week for the American. This last Sunday saw Kronke’s NFL franchise, the LA Rams, beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an exciting play-off match in California.
With Arsenal set to fly to Dubai this week for their winter break, Arteta has seemingly made a pit stop in America to speak with Kroenke. And footage of their meeting has gone viral on social media.
After all, the Kroenke’s have largely been absent from Arsenal’s club affairs, and seeing Arteta with the owners has come as a shock to supporters.
Moreover, Arsenal fans are theorising that late January transfers could be on the cards with Arteta meeting with Kroenke, who last summer provided the Gunners with most of their funds for the likes of Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White.
Arsenal fans predict late transfers as Arteta meets Kroenke

With the window closing on Monday, Arsenal have very few days left to complete signings this January. Yet with Arteta meeting with Kroenke, supporters are predicting something big before the deadline next week.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say about Arteta meeting with Kroenke in America on Twitter…
