Jose Enrique believes Liverpool should try and attempt to sign Arsenal-linked Youri Tielemans this week.
The transfer window closes on Thursday and the Reds still need a midfielder.
Liverpool are in the market for a midfield star now after Jurgen Klopp signalled his intetion to sign one on Friday, prior to their 9-0 demolition of Bournemouth.
The Leicester City star is said to want a transfer to Arsenal this summer but the Gunners have so far failed to bring him to the Emirates Stadium
Tielemans to North London is a transfer rumour that’s been going on virtually the entire window and, at this stage, it does seem a stretch to believe that Mikel Arteta’s going to sign him.
And Enrique has tweeted that Liverpool should take a look at him or Nicolo Barella.
He said:
Football London claimed in July that the Belgium international would be game to join Mikel Arteta’s project at the Emirates Stadium.
If Tielemans – now valued at only £17 million – wants a transfer to Arsenal then that means they could sign him right up until deadline day, because deals are going to happen very quickly this week.
But if the Gunners don’t want him, then he seems available and if Liverpool can sign nobody else, why not go for the former Monaco man?
