Leicester City are reportedly willing to lower their asking price for Youri TIelemans to as low as €20m (£17m) as the Foxes look to sell the midfielder, with Arsenal interested in the Belgian international.
According to Nieuwsblad, the King Power Stadium side are intent on selling the former AS Monaco star this summer with Tielemans’ contract set to expire next year, with Arsenal the only side currently holding a major interest in the 25-year-old midfielder, who could now be a bargain signing for the Gunners.
Tielemans has recently been valued as much as £65m by Leicester, yet with Brenden Rodgers’ side eager to recoup some funds and the midfield maestro’s contract running down, the 2016 Premier League champions are now willing to let their star player leave for as cheap as £17m, a fee that Arsenal could find too good to refuse.
Whilst reports suggest that the north London side have made a wide-attacker their priority, with Pedro Neto Arsenal’s main target for the final week of the window, Tieleman’s sudden drop in his asking price could make the Belgian a perfect midfield signing for Arsenal, who have been chasing the 25-year-old all summer.
Labelled by some Liverpool supporters as ‘outrageous’ during one performance for Leicester, Tielemans is a perfect long-term replacement for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, and with the Foxes now open to selling the Premier League star for as little as £17m, Edu Gaspar will be silly not to make a move in the coming days.
Indeed, whilst Arsenal’s midfield is quite stacked, Tielemans adds a lot of qualities currently missing from what the Gunners have at their disposal, and with Leicester offering a bargain fee, the north London side will be foolish to not launch a bid to sign the Belgian.
Arsenal have to take advantage of Leicester’s £17m fee to sell Tielemans

Arsenal’s pursuit for Tielemans has lasted essentially the entire summer, and with the window coming to a close, now is the time for the Premier League leaders to move for the Leicester star, especially with the English side looking to sell the midfielder for such a cheap fee.
Transfers like this come once in a blue moon, and Arsenal can make a major statement this summer by winning the race to sign Tielemans with Leicester on their knees for a club to take the Belgian off their hands, with a deal there to be done for both Premier League clubs.
