Leicester City could soon be welcoming Ralph Hasenhuttl to the King Power Stadium as a replacement for Brendan Rodgers.
The Foxes – according to Fabrizio Romano – are said to have added the Austrian to their shortlist after parting ways with the Northern Irishman following Saturday’s defeat to Crystal Palace.
Hasenhuttl has been unemployed since receiving his P45 at Southampton back in November.
If the 55-year-old does make a return to management with Leicester, here’s how we think his starting XI will look…
How Leicester’s XI could look under Hasenhuttl
Well, Hasenhuttl enjoyed some good times at Southampton using his favoured 4-2-2-2 formation.
We would expect to see him bring that system to the Midlands if he is hired by Leicester, which would mean two strikers fit into the starting XI rather than the one we saw under Rodgers in a 4-2-3-1 shape.
Therefore, we believe Vardy – who was handed a start against Aston Villa despite failing to come off the bench against Crystal Palace – will be given a starting role alongside Harvey Barnes.

As you can see, we think Hasenhuttl will opt for Vardy, Barnes, James Maddison and Kelechi Iheanacho in his four attacking positions, meaning Patson Daka and Tete drop to the bench.
It would be a waste to stick Maddison out on the right, given his quality when it comes to cutting inside, and the same goes for Barnes.
Therefore, we believe Hasenhuttl will deploy Barnes in a left sided centre-forward role just ahead of Maddison, with Iheanacho in a right sided attacking midfield position, where he can cut inside on his stronger left foot.

Wilfried Ndidi and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will make up a pairing in the holding midfield positions.
At the back, Danny Ward could be given another chance to reclaim the No.1 shirt, while we think Çağlar Söyüncü may also be handed another opportunity to grab a starting role.
Be sure to keep an eye on developments at Leicester, as the Foxes attempt to replace Rodgers.
