Valentino Lazaro has hinted that Marcus Thuram could be about to move to Inter Milan ahead of the January window with a comment on the France striker’s Instagram – amid reports Newcastle are about to make a £10million bid.
Thuram, 25, is being linked with many top clubs around Europe – and for a number of reasons. Bild say he is available for just £10million with his contract due to expire at the end of the season. Also, he has scored 13 goals in 17 games.
Gladbach though, despite his form, would rather bring in a fee for the France World Cup striker – even if, a cut-price one. Thuram was part of the France side that reached the final, replacing Olivier Giroud on 40 minutes on Sunday.
Now, the World Cup is over and with the Bundesliga not starting again for a few weeks, his future is likely to be sorted out beforehand. German newspaper Bild claim Newcastle are set to make a £10m offer – with other clubs interested.
But Lazaro – who spent the second half of the 2019-20 season on loan at Newcastle, playing 15 times – has dropped a hint. Still owned by Inter, Lazaro commented on Thuram’s post – saying he will see Thuram soon, with an eyes emoji.

Lazaro hints Thuram could move to Inter amid Newcastle reports
Now, Lazaro could be suggesting that he himself may return to Gladbach. He spent time at the German club alongside Thuram during a loan spell in 20-21. But with Thuram likely to be on his way, CM claim Inter are one of the clubs keen.
Lazaro is currently on loan at Torino and the Serie A club do have an option to buy him. But, he has 18 months left on his Inter contract. All signs point to Lazaro suggesting he will see Thuram at Inter, soon. Time will tell.
