Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after hearing they want to sign Florian Grillitsch.
What’s the story with Grillitsch?
The German midfielder is reportedly on Spurs’ transfer radar.
Tottenham could probably do with some reinforcements in the midfield. After all Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been struggling with injury as of late, while Oliver Skipp remains inexperienced at this level.
Grillitsch has been very impressive over in Germany for quite some time now. He’s been labelled as ‘extraordinary’ by Julian Nagelsmann in the past and he’s a regular in the Austrian national team.
Potential bargain
Grillitsch could be a real bargain if Tottenham can pull this transfer off.
The midfielder is out of contract in the summer, so he’s likely to be available for a cut-price fee, or even a free transfer if Spurs bide their time.
Of course, he’s an unproven commodity at Premier League level, but given his exploits in Germany, it’s fair to say he could be prove to be a real snip if Spurs can bring him in on the cheap.

Indeed, one fan claimed that he would be an upgrade on Oliver Skipp, while another stated that he’s a better player than Franck Kessie – who Spurs have also been linked with.
