Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal were lucky to win against Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Saturday.

Klopp made the comments about Arsenal and Bournemouth after his Liverpool side hammered Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Gunners got the better of the Cherries 3-2 at home in the league on Saturday.

Bournemouth were 2-0 up at one stage in the match, but the North London club launched a comeback in the second half and won 3-2.

Reiss Nelson scored a late winner.

Liverpool will face Bournemouth away from home in the Premier League this coming weekend.

Jurgen Klopp on Arsenal win v Bournemouth

Klopp said: “Now we have five days or so of time to prepare for Bournemouth; they were unlucky yesterday against Arsenal not to get a point at least. We have to make sure we are ready for that fight.”

Deserved winners

Now, Bournemouth will feel unlucky not to win against Arsenal.

After all, the Cherries were 2-0 in the lead against the Gunners.

However, Arsenal made their own luck.

They scored three very good goals.

And we believe that Arsenal deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.

Mikel Arteta’s side were the better team over the course of the 90 minutes.
