Arsenal loan star Konstantinos Mavropanos was on the scoresheet yet again for VfB Stuttgart as the defender bagged a goal and a clean sheet in the Bundesliga side’s 2-0 win against Wolfsburg.

The Greek international has been in staggering form for the German club this season. Mavropanos initially joined Stuttgart on loan in 2020, however, Die Roten brought the defender back for a second year, this time with an option to sign him permanently in 2022.

And based on Mavropanos’ form, this option will be triggered, with the 24-year-old scoring four goals for Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side. Moreover, according to Football London, Stuttgart will only sign the Arsenal defender for just £2.5m.

Indeed, whilst Arsenal will make some profit on the defender, it pales in comparison to what Mavropanos is actually worth, with the youngster establishing himself as one of the Bundesliga’s top centre-backs.

Arsenal have made a hash of deals in the past, with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez leaving the north London club for nothing. And under Edu Gaspar, it appears that lessons have not been learnt.

As well as the Greek defender., Matteo Guendouzi is expected to leave the north London club for a small profit in 2022, with Arsenal seemingly unable to offload talented youngsters for a suitable fee. And after Mavropanos’ goal this weekend, fans on social media are raging at Edu.
