Trevor Sinclair raved about Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane on talkSPORT (7:03pm, November 21, 2020) while watching him in action against Manchester City.

The former City winger, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, was impressed by the performance produced by Kane during Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Pep Guardiola’s side at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening.

Although the England international striker did not score, he provided the assist for the second goal, dropped deep to help out in midfield, and stopped the Citizens from playing their game, with City manager Pep Guardiola raving about him after the match.

Sinclair said about Kane on talkSPORT (7:03pm, November 21, 2020): “Harry Kane’s performance tonight has reminded me of Wayne Rooney’s, how he started to come deeper later in his career.

“Technically he is so sound, his spacial awareness is so unbelievable, his weight of pass is superb. He has improved massively as a player.”

Harry Kane is more than a goalscorer now

Kane has earned a reputation as one of the best strikers in the world, but this season, the England international is showing another part of his game.

The 27-year-old is evolving to become a number 10, and the way he is dropping deep and closing space is marvellous.

According to WhoScored, Kane has scored seven goals and provided nine assists in nine Premier League matches, and has scored one goal and provided one assist in two Europa League games for Spurs so far this season.
