Speaking on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel, Rodrigo has been discussing Kalvin Phillips and that horrific picture of his shoes.
The image emerged last month of Phillips signing an autograph wearing the most bizarre selection of footwear, and the picture has been ingrained in our memories ever since.
If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth looking up, and it’s fair to say that Phillips got a lot of stick for his strange fashion choices.
Fans online were quick to ridicule the Yorkshire Pirlo, and one of his teammates isn’t a fan either.
Indeed, Rodrigo was so unimpressed by Phillips’ shoes that he claimed the footwear was disrespectful towards the club.

Rodrigo was asked to comment on the picture of Phillips’ shoes.
“Oh wow, I prefer not to talk about this. Wow, it’s unbelievable, it’s disrespectful for the club for me,” Rodrigo joked.
Jack Harrison then chimed in with his view.
“I think someone said he should have been put on the transfer list for this,” Harrison added.

Look, we’re not a fashion website, but even we have to say that Phillips’ shoes were utterly ridiculous.
As someone so famous for being humble and down to earth, Phillips was always going to get some flak for wearing these monstrosities that probably cost an arm and a leg.
However, after seeing all the jokes, memes and backlash, it’s fair to say that this particular pair of shoes will probably stay in Phillips’ wardrobe for the foreseeable future.
