Hibernian defender Josh Doig has told Sky Sports that he is a big fan of Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney, amid speculation linking him with the Gunners.
Arsenal are among the clubs interested in the 18-year-old left-back, according to Sky Sports.
The report has claimed that Celtic and Chelsea are also ‘closely monitoring’ the progress of the Scottish left-back.
Amid speculation, the teenager has said that he watches Arsenal left-back Tierney and his Scotland international teammate and Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson to develop his own game.
Tierney – who joined the Gunners from Celtic in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £25 million – has established himself as a key figure in the Arsenal team and has been praised by his manager Mikel Arteta on more than one occasion.
Doig told Sky Sports: “I try and watch them as much as I can. They are both absolutely flying at the moment.
“They are such an inspiration for young Scottish players, especially playing in my position. You can’t get any better than that.
“Seeing what they are doing is unbelievable and I try and base as much of my game on theirs as possible because they are doing something right.”

One for the future
Doig is only 18 years of age and is just starting his career, and it is clear that he is a player for the future.
The teenager has broken into the Hibernian side and is playing regular first-team football, and that will help in his development and growth as a footballer.
According to WhoScored, Doig has made 15 starts and two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Hibernian so far this season.
