Arsenal fans have been given some inside information from Michail Antonio ahead of a crucial week for the Gunners.
What’s the story?
Well, the 33-year-old West Ham forward knows people who work for Arsenal, and he believes the pressure is getting to the north Londoners.
Speaking to Callum Wilson on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Antonio said: “I’ve heard this from someone who works at Arsenal. All season, they’ve been concentrating on themselves, playing how they play.
“Last week, when they drew with Liverpool and City got a bit closer, it was the first time all season that this person heard players start talking about City and how well City have been playing. They are definitely feeling the pressure from City chasing them.”
Antonio also had some unfair comments about Mikel Arteta.
The Jamaica international added: “Basically, what Arteta has done, he’s been at City, watched everything Pep has done, moved away to Arsenal and just copied and pasted. Boom.
“I’m not caning Arteta, he’s a G for doing it. The skills to do what you’re doing, study it and then pull it off even though the guy who has mastered it is here, and you’re basically beating him at doing his own thing! It’s unbelievable!”

If Antonio thinks it’s that simple, we sincerely hope he never goes into management.
The West Ham No.9 has done Arteta a huge disservice by claiming that the Spaniard has simply copied “everything” from Pep Guardiola, especially as the Manchester City boss has previously admitted to learning things from the 41-year-old.
Arsenal fans should ignore Michail Antonio
In our view, Antonio is simply stirring the pot at a time where he knows his words will get a reaction.
Had the West Ham striker made these comments before Arsenal’s 2-2 draws against Liverpool and West Ham, very few people would have even engaged with the sentiment.
However, it has now become fashionable once again to knock Arsenal for their mentality, which is strange given the fact Arteta oversaw seven consecutive Premier League wins before the two draws in recent weeks.
Hopefully, the outside noise is not getting into London Colney, and Arteta can ensure his players remain focused.
