Wolves ace Matt Doherty raved about the quality of his teammate Ruben Neves, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star, suggesting that it is a joy to play with the Portuguese midfield ace.

The Black Country outfit have been sensational this season from the very first game, and they currently sit comfortably at the top of the pile, with an eight point lead over second placed Bristol City.

One of the stand-out signings made by Nuno has been Ruben Neves, who joined Wolves from Porto in the summer, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £15.8 million.

The 20-year-old has been nothing short of superb for his side this term, and Doherty raved about the cultured midfielder, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star:

“Last year I made a lot of runs and maybe didn’t quite get on the end of it – the quality of player we have this year is unbelievable in terms of passing. Neves’s passing is the best I’ve played with. It’s a joy to play with players who have that vision.”

Next up for Wolves is a trip to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City on Saturday and a victory would rubber stamp their authority in the race for the Championship title.
