Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s 2-2 draw with Millwall yesterday, and responded to questions asking him if he has been pleased with Helder Costa’s recent contributions to the side, as quoted by the Express & Star.

The Black Country outfit have been superb all season long, and currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, eight points clear of second placed Bristol City, after their impressive return of 55 points from their opening 24 league outings.

Costa, though, has failed to have the impact that many expected of him, after his sensational debut season in England with Wolves, where he racked up an impressive 10 goals and eight assists in 35 Championship outings.

The 23-year-old has made just four league starts this term, however, with injury preventing him from making real progress.

Nuno spoke to reporters after his side’s draw at the New Den, and insisted that Costa needs to do better, despite his two assists against the Lions, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“He did a good job and he should do better.”

Next up for Wolves is a crucial trip to second placed Bristol City on Saturday, and they will need Costa to be at his brilliant best, if they are to have any chance of leaving Ashton Gate with anything to show for their efforts.
