Djed Spence seems primed to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer amid claims he has now been transfer listed.

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to let Djed Spence leave the club this month after placing him on the transfer list.

That is according to The London Evening Standard, who claim that Spence is ‘on the transfer list’ at Tottenham.

Hugo Lloris, Tanguy Ndombele and Joe Rodon are thought to have joined Spence on the transfer list whilst Davinson Sanchez and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg can also go.

Hearing of a ‘transfer list’ makes us think of LMA Manager and Football Manager, but it may well be that Spence is on a list of players Tottenham are circulating out to clubs.

Spence doesn’t appear to be in the plans of new Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou, who has two right backs head of the Englishman.

Emerson Royal started against Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday and Pedro Porro cost a hefty sum when moving from Sporting earlier this year.

Spence simply isn’t going to play for Tottenham this season and rather than loan him out again, Spurs appear ready to sell up.

Djed Spence needs to leave Tottenham Hotspur

Spence initially seemed like exactly the kind of signing Tottenham needed to be making.

The right wing back had dazzled on loan at Nottingham Forest, dominating in the Championship to help them win promotion.

Spence then joined Tottenham as Middlesbrough agreed to a £19million move, cashing in amid rival Premier League interest.

However, alarm bells started ringing when Antonio Conte called Spence a signing by the club rather than him.

Spence managed just five minutes of Premier League action across four substitute appearances before being sent on loan to Rennes.

The 22-year-old just can’t afford to be third-choice at Tottenham and needs to be out there showing his quality consistently.

Hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by Sol Bamba, Spence clearly has enormous potential but must leave Tottenham in order to show it.

Premier League clubs will surely fancy taking Spence off Tottenham’s hands this summer with Spurs seemingly active in their attempts to sell him.
