Djed Spence is a player in demand, with Mikel Arteta’a Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur among the clubs linked with the Middlesbrough right-back.
90min reported on June 10 that Tottenham, Arsenal, Brentford, Crystal Palace, West Ham United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all are interested in signing Spence, who spent the last season on loan at Nottingham Forest from Middlesbrough.
The Sun reported last week that Tottenham and Middlesbrough are in talks over a £15 million deal for Spence, who can play as a right-back, right wing-back or winger, and that the 21-year-old himself is confident that a transfer will happen.
Sol Bamba is becoming a free agent after leaving Middlesbrough this summer, and the former Leeds United and Cardiff City central defender believes that in-demand Spence should move to Tottenham.
Arsenal target Djed Spence told to join Tottenham Hotspur
Bamba said about Spence on talkSPORT, as transcribed by TheBootRoom:“The potential is there, he’s an unbelievable, fantastic player. Under Conte, in my opinion, I think he will learn a lot.
“Young players need discipline. And I’m sure Conte will give that to him. Going forward, he’s fantastic. But I think defensively, he can improve. And for me, Tottenham will be the best move for him.”

In our view, Djed Spence would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur and would likely get more playing time there than he would at Arsenal.
Takehiro Tomiyasu is the first-choice right at Arsenal at the moment, and it is unlikely that manager Mikel Arteta will play Spence ahead of him.
Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte plays with wing-backs and is also a world-class manager, and Spence would develop and improve a lot under the Italian tactician.
