Conor McGregor’s comeback card, UFC 329, has seen a second fighter pull out of the fight within a matter of days.

Ethyn Ewing has been forced to withdraw from the event through injury after his bantamweight bout with Farid Basharat, originally scheduled for UFC Vegas 119 on June 20, was moved to UFC 329.

The news comes days after Flyweight Ode Osbourne was replaced by Alessandro Costa to face Cody Durden last week.

Best Fight Picks reported on Monday: “Ethyn Ewing is out of his fight next week vs Farid Basharat due to injury, UFC is currently looking for a replacement to face Farid.”

Damon Martin then confirmed: “Ethyn Ewing is OUT of his fight against Farid Basharat next week at UFC329, per multiple sources telling me and @MikeHeck_JR. UFC is actively searching for a replacement opponent, but nothing done yet. Ewing’s injury first reported by @BestFightPicks.”

It means the event is now down to just 12 fights as Conor McGregor prepares to face Max Holloway next weekend.

This will be the Irish star’s first fight back since defeat to Dustin Poirier back in 2021.
