UEFA confirm Omar Artan will referee Super Cup final after World Cup Visa rejection

UEFA’s official X account posted on Thursday, June 11, that Somali referee Omar Artan will officiate the 2026 UEFA Super Cup between PSG and Aston Villa in Salzburg.

The post follows reports that Artan was denied entry into the United States before the 2026 World Cup.

The appointment places Artan on another major international fixture after a difficult period away from the pitch.
