Sevilla will reportedly make a move to sign rumoured Newcastle United target Umar Sadiq if Youssef En-Nesyri leaves this summer, with West Ham eyeing the La Liga attacker.
According to Marca, the Nigerian international is an option for Sevilla this summer if the UEFA Champions League side end up losing En-Nesyri, who as per the report, is wanted by West Ham as David Moyes looks to sign a marquee forward before the start of the Premier League season.
The Irons have been chasing the Moroccan international for quite some time, and West Ham signing En-Nesyri could now result in Newcastle missing out on Sadiq, who is now on Sevilla’s radar and could be an outstanding addition for the Andalusian side.
Valued at a reported £50m, the one-time Rangers striker enjoyed a brilliant year with Segunda Division side Almeria last season, with Sadiq playing a role in the club’s promotion to La Liga as the 25-year-old bagged 18 goals and assisted a further nine, with the forward’s form catching the eye of other clubs around Spain.
Villarreal are also reportedly interested in Sadiq, and this summer will likely see the striker leave Almeria for one of Europe’s biggest sides, with Sevilla and Newcastle also keen on signing the attacker after what has been a historic season for the striker.
Indeed, Newcastle could do with signing Sadiq following reports that the Toon have missed out on French sensation Hugo Ekitike, with Eddie Howe set on adding another attacker to the Magpies’ squad this summer given Chris Wood’s poor form last season and Callum Wilson’s injury record.
Newcastle cannot allow Sevilla to sign Sadiq

Newcastle’s immense wealth means that Howe can land any striker at any cost this summer, within reason, And Sadiq more than fits the bill for what the Premier League side next next season in terms of a new leading man, which is why they can’t allow Sevilla to sign the Nigerian international.
After all, Sadiq enjoyed an incredible year with Almeria in what was a brilliant year for the forward, and Newcastle could be a great next step for the striker if the Toon can beat Sevilla to the 25-year-old’s signature, with the race to sign the attacker only likely to grow larger from here.
