Leeds United come into this January transfer window under a little bit of pressure.

Indeed, the Whites are staring a relegation battle in the face, but with Victor Orta in charge of transfers and new investment from the San Francisco 49ers, Leeds may be able to make the signings that can get them out of this bind.

Although, as we all know by now, Leeds don’t just make signings for the sake of it. Marcelo Bielsa is very particular about the players that can fit into his system and January signings don’t always work out for the Argentine as players need plenty of time to adjust to the demands of playing under Bielsa.

However, desperate times call for desperate measures, and Leeds could dive into the market to secure their safety in the Premier League.

With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting how Leeds will line up after this window closes.

We think there may be two additions to the Leeds team this month.

The first comes at full-back. The Yorkshire club have been linked with Ola Aina in recent days, and that’s a signing that would make the world of sense.

Beyond Junior Firpo and Luke Ayling, Leeds don’t have much depth at full-back, and with Aina capable of playing on both the left and the right, he could be a handy addition.

The second addition is in the midfield. John Swift has been strongly linked, and he’s a player Marcelo Bielsa is a fan of. After all, he described him as ‘great’ during Leeds’ time in the Championship.

Aside from those additions, Patrick Bamford returns to the fold after his injury, but sadly, Kalvin Phillips remains out of action, so Adam Forshaw starts in that holding midfield role.
