Leeds United have had plenty of problems in their midfield this season, but it seems as though they’re looking to solve them.
Indeed, according to the Sheffield Star, Leeds are one of a number of clubs that are interested in John Swift, and that could be a cracker of a signing.
The midfielder may be exactly what Leeds need, Rodrigo and Tyler Roberts have struggled in the attacking midfield role this term, all the while, Swift has been shining in the Championship.
He’s netted eight goals and crafted a further six assists this season, but don’t just take our word for it, Marcelo Bielsa has previously given him a rave review.

Bielsa was blown away by Swift after Leeds played Reading in 2020.
“Swift is a great player,” Bielsa said in February 2020.
“I value him a lot. He is a player who appears suddenly in attack and the same in transition between defence and attack, but especially when he passes from the defence to the attack.”

After reading Bielsa’s comments on Swift, is it really that much of a surprise to hear Leeds are after him?
This is a player who can attack, create and defend and the fact that Leeds have a bit of an issue in their midfield at the moment has left a perfect gap in their side for him to fill.
Of course, landing Swift won’t be easy, the midfielder is an incredibly talented player who will have plenty of eyes on him, but if the Whites can win the race for his signature, they will have pulled off something of a coup.
