Gabby Agbonlahor has stated that the ‘pressure is on’ Tottenham Hotspur after Arsenal recorded four wins from four Premier League games on Saturday, as he told talkSPORT.

Mikel Arteta’s side came from behind to beat Fulham 2-1 and now Antonio Conte’s team travel to another newly-promoted side, this time Nottingham Forest, to try and maintain their own unbeaten start to the season.

Forest v Spurs is a historic fixture of the past and one that simply hasn’t been played enough in recent times because of how long the Midlands side were out of the top-tier.

But it’s now set to take centre stage in the Premier League once again, with the City Ground bouncing and hoping to cause an upset against the Champions League side on Sunday.

Given the buzz around Forest, former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor warned Tottenham that if they start slowly, then they will ‘get turned over’.

“But it’s maximum points for Arsenal,” said Agbonlahor. “Spurs!!! The pressure is on.

“You (Jamie O’Hara) are going to wear that Arsenal shirt at the end of the season (the duo had a bet about where Arsenal/Spurs will finish this season).

On possible Forest/Spurs result: “Draw,” responded Agbonlahor. “I think they (Forest) will be up for it. Look at how West Ham struggled. I think this could be the one game where Spurs drop points.

“If they don’t start well Spurs, then they will get turned over. Forest will be at it from the start. Spurs can’t start slowly. Sometimes they do.”

ARTETA AND CONTE PRESSURE

There is probably more pressure on Arsenal this season because their neighbours are playing Champions League football and secured that top-four finish last time out.

But that doesn’t hide the fact that Spurs still have to maintain their Champions League place because there is a serious fight for those places this season.

It went to the last day in 2021/22, and in truth, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the same happens again when the crunch moments of the season arrive.

One thing is for sure, for the first time in a long time, the mood around north London is positive on both sides and that hasn’t happened for a while.
