Nottingham Forest have been linked with Sheffield Wednesday’s Jordan Rhodes.

According to a poll conducted on social networking site Twitter, 50 per cent of the Nottingham Forest fans who participated feel the club should try to sign Sheffield Wednesday’s Jordan Rhodes this summer.
Forest were said to have failed in their attempts to sign the former Huddersfield Town striker on deadline day but, having failed then, they could revise their interest this summer.
Aitor Karanka has improved the Reds since becoming the club’s new manager in January, but three successive 0-0 draws clearly indicates which area they need to strengthen this summer.

In Ben Brereton and Daryl Murphy, the club have two strikers deemed either too young or too old, and a new goal-scorer will certainly be a top priority this summer as Forest look to challenge for promotion to the Premier League.
Rhodes has plenty of experience at Championship level, having regularly found the net for Blackburn Rovers in years gone by, yet his record at Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday has been a disappointment.
This term, the Scotland international has managed to score just four times in 28 games for the Owls, prompting many supporters at Hillsborough to plead with the club to sell him this coming summer.

A recent poll highlights how 80 per cent of the Wednesday fans who participated would like to see Rhodes sold this summer, but in a separate poll it seems Forest fans are split over whether he’d be a good acquisition
Aside from his poor record this season, Rhodes would come at a premium having cost Wednesday a reported £10 million fee when they decided to make his loan move from Boro permanent last summer (Sky Sports).
The Owls have an abundance of strikers, so they may be willing to let him go for a knockdown price, yet still Karanka may not be comfortable spending the bulk of his budget on a player out of form.
