Speaking on TalkSPORT’s YouTube channel, Troy Deeney has named West Ham legend Mark Noble as the Premier League’s most underrated player.
The Watford star was asked to name his five most underrated players in the league, and he ranked Noble at number one ahead of the likes of Wilfried Ndidi, John McGinn, Shane Long and Conor Coady.
“My first player would be Mark Noble,” Deeney said
“He’s been in the Premier Legaue for like 11 years with West Ham, never been called up for England but for some reason people don’t really speak about him, great career and a great person.”

In terms of his whole career, Noble is certainly underrated, but when you’re talking about players in the league at the moment, it’s hard to agree with this view.
As much as West Ham fans adore him, it’s hard to make a serious point about his talents at the moment as he’s played just 83 minutes this season.
Perhaps that’s what Deeney means though, maybe he thinks Noble is so underrated that even his own manager is overlooking his talents, which is unlikely, considering how highly Moyes has spoken of him in the past.
Noble has long been seen as one of the most underrated players in England, and to be fair, he does deserve more recognition than he’s gotten after such a long career at the top-level.
It’s hard to put forward a compelling argument that Noble is the most underrated player in the Premier League right now based on current ability due to how little he has played this term.
However if you’re talking about the most underrated players to ever ply their trade in the English top-flight, the West Ham midfielder has to be in the conversation.
