Kieran Tripper has wished Aston Villa transfer target Luis Suarez ‘good luck’ on his Instagram story after he plays his final home game for Atletico Madrid.

On Sunday, Suarez, who is set to leave Atletico Madrid at the end of the season, played his final home game against Sevilla.

Could the striker, dubbed ‘phenomenal’ by Steven Gerrard, link-up with his former Liverpool teammate at Villa Park?

Well, the Midlands outfit are certainly interested in the 35-year-old and they could push for his signature this summer.

Nonetheless, Newcastle United right-back Trippier, who got to see what Suarez is like first-hand at Atletico, sent this message to his teammate ahead of his departure.

‘Good luck in your next chapter bro’, said Trippier on his Instagram story.

ASTON VILLA SIGNING SUAREZ THIS SUMMER WOULD TOP COUTINHO DEAL

When Aston Villa and Gerrard manage to lure Philippe Coutinho to the club in January, it lifted the struggling Premier League side.

The Brazil star has since signed a permanent contract at the club, after an uplifting few months at Villa Park for the 29-year-old.

But, Coutinho and Suarez, linking up once again, would be quite incredible and a big statement of intent from Villa.

Whilst Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings are pretty popular with the Villa fans, they have still lacked that killer instinct in front of goal, so Suarez’s addition would seriously increase the club’s chances of European football next term.
