Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur and Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal have been linked with Burnley defender Ben Mee in the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal want to sign a central defender for next season and could be interested in Burnley star Ben Mee (click here to read more).
Mee may not be a world-class defender, but the 28-year-old is solid, strong and has proved himself in the Premier League.

The former England Under-21 international, who would cost £20 million according to The Sun, would be a good signing for either Tottenham or Arsenal, but perhaps Spurs may have an advantage over the Gunners.
Mee knows current Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier from his time first at Manchester City and then at Burnley.
Trippier has taken his game to level to another level since his move from Burnley to Tottenham in the summer of 2015, and the 27-year-old right-back could be Spurs’ secret weapon in their (reported) quest for Mee.

Mee would know someone at Spurs, and that could convince him to snub Arsenal and join their bitter North London rivals.
The prospect of playing alongside his former Burnley teammate could be a key factor in the 28-year-old defender’s decision, should Arsenal and Tottenham come calling.
