Lanzini now has to step up and start weaving the sort of magic that Payet did for the past one-and-a-half year or so.
The 23-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder has scored five goals and created 27 chances in 22 Premier League appearances for the Hammers so far this season.
West Ham are 10th in the league table at the moment with 32 points from 25 matches and could still end up seventh.
