Fans have been revealing that their ESTA applications have been cancelled midway through the World Cup.

ESTA applications are required to enter the USA and, with the knockouts now in full swing, tourists from all over are continuing to come to the country.

There have been problems relating to visas and entry for fans and it seems like this isn’t stopping anytime soon.

England fan reveals that ESTA was cancelled while out in the USA

In a Facebook group dedicated to British people on tour in Orlando, one fan revealed that their ESTA had been cancelled and had to message Customs and Border Protection.

On the post they shared a screenshot of the response, which said: “Thank you for contacting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Attache Office in London.

“CBP currently looking into this issue and as soon as there is an update on this, we will be in touch. Please note that you do not need to apply for a visa if your application was approved initially on June 23 and subsequently cancelled today.

Thankfully the problem was resolved and the application was approved once again.

This comes after Canada rejected 89 per cent of visa applications from Ghanaian fans travelling for the World Cup while Donald Trump imposed bans on fans from certain countries travelling this summer.
