Tottenham Hotspur completed their first summer signing on Saturday.
Spurs announced that they had signed Pierluigi Gollini on a season-long loan from Atalanta in Italy.
Interestingly, Tottenham are also reported to be keen on Argentina international Cristian Romero, who also plays for the same Serie A side.
Romero sent a message on Instagram to the Italian goalkeeper after his move to North London was announced.
And here’s how some fans of the North London club.
Is Romero following?
Well, that’s what the talk is about.
Alasdair Gold revealed on Friday that the big Argentine centre-back is the player Fabio Paratici is most desperate to sign this summer.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, a deal, if it materialises, could total somewhere in the region of £43 million.
This is a player who the Lilywhites certainly need, hence Paratici’s reported desperation to bring him in.
Forget about Tottenham’s suspect attack without linked-away Harry Kane for a second, Nuno Espirito Santo’s new side still need to worry about keeping goals out at the other end.
And when a 32-year-old Toby Alderweireld is your best defender – and he’s even linked with a move away – then you’re in a world of trouble and Romero’s importance is heightened.
