According to talkSPORT, Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard is available ‘for a snip’ as those interested in his services could land him for £25 million – £30 million.
TalkSPORT‘s transfer insider, Alex Crook, said: ‘Obviously Celtic are going through some problems so Leicester could get him for a snip at around £25/30m.
‘He’s got 18 months left on his contract and has scored 72 goals in 151 games for Celtic, which is almost one every two games.’
Now, that should come as interesting news to Arsenal and West Ham, who are believed to be interested in signing the Frenchman.
Journalist Ian McGarry said on The Transfer Window Podcast that the Hammers are interested in signing Edouard, adding that the forward wants a Premier League move.
Elsewhere, CBS Sports say that Arsenal are eyeing the 22-year-old up as they look to find a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette.
If Crooks is right, and Edouard is available for £25 million – £30 million, then that really is a ‘snip’ for a player of his quality.
The former Paris Saint-Germain attacker scored an impressive 28 goals last season, while also recording an eye-catching 19 assists in 47 appearances.
This season, he has continued that fine form with 11 goals in 23 games.
With his many talents, and high ceiling for growth, spending around £25 million on the Kourou-born striker seems like a no-brainer, in our view.
Big talents can come out of Scotland, as we’ve seen with Virgil van Dijk.
From what Edouard has shown us so far, he is certainly worth buying if he truly is available for roughly £25 million – £30 million.
