Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Ian McGarry has claimed that West Ham United are interested in Celtic strike Odsonne Edouard.
Unfortuantely, for the Hammers, it seems as though this one is a bit of a non-starter as McGarry quickly stated that Edouard is not interested in joining West Ham. However, he says that the French striker does want to come to the Premier League.
“So Haller out and they’re looking for the striker. It is the case that they’re interested in Edouard from Celtic, but Edouard is not interested in West Ham,” McGarry said.
On the same podcast, Ian McGarry also spoke about Edouard changing his agent to join the Stellar Group.
“Now, what’s kind of coincidental about this is that it was a senior executive at Stellar who brokered Kieran Tierney’s deal to join Arsenal from Celtic,” McGarry said.
“You have to wonder if Edouard has seen the situation with Tierney and thought ‘ok, well Kieran got his move and obviously Stellar are very well connected with the London clubs, Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea.’
“He’s certainly eyeing a move to the Premier League, that’s for sure, and maybe London is the preferred destination,”

As much as Edouard may want a move to London, it seems as though he doesn’t want to join the Hammers.
It’s a real shame to hear that he’s not keen to sign for David Moyes’ side as he looks as though he’d be a real asset for the London outfit, especially after the departure of Sebastien Haller.
Indeed, Edouard has 11 goals in all competitions this season, and someone who can find the net that regularly would be a welcomed addition at the London Stadium.
However, as we all should know by now, anything can happen in the transfer market, and if West Ham are interested in Edouard, we can’t completely write off the chance of them landing their man, especially when you consider there are signs that he wants to move to London.
