Cristian Romero’s 2022/23 Premier League season on home soil has ended in defeat after Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to Brentford on Saturday.
But the Tottenham defender, after that game, was sure to be all smiles on Instagram, as Cristian Romero was pictured with his wife and son with the caption: ‘I love you two with all my soul. Family,’, added with a heart emoji.
Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez reacted in the comments section with two hands forming a heart shape emoji, added with a heart eyes emojis, as Pierluigi Golini added: ‘Great’.
HAS CRISTIAN ROMERO DECLINED IN TOTTENHAM COLOURS?
It has been a season to forget for many Spurs players this season, with the defence, in particular, in serious bother.
Romero has been part of that, and whilst he won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar a number of months ago, his form has been off-colour since returning.

The 25-year-old has enough in the locker to come back next season and still be handed a starting birth by whoever will be the club’s next manager.
Whilst someone like Eric Dier continues to get questioned, Davinson Sanchez was booed by his own fans and Clement Lenglet hasn’t impressed during his loan spell from Barcelona.
For Romero, on paper, he is still Tottenham’s best defender. It’s just his all-action and aggressive style doesn’t suit his team when they are shipping goals for fun, as they have been doing away from home this term.
But that’s more to do with the club needing structure and a clear identity. That’s something they don’t have with Daniel Levy running the ship – Jamie O’Hara was raging at the Spurs chairman after the Brentford loss.
