Tottenham want Weston McKennie but the Juventus midfielder has picked up another injury that will leave him out for weeks.
It’s never a surprise when Tottenham are linked with Juventus players.
Fabio Paratici served as their sporting director and retains a strong relationship with staff at the club despite leaving last summer.
Paratici was then able to secure Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski in January, snatching both players from Juventus.
Add in the signing of former Juve defender Cristian Romero and it would be no surprise to see Tottenham sign more players with Turin connections.
Tottenham want Weston McKennie
There have indeed been more links suggesting that Tottenham want to sign a Juventus man.
The Daily Mail reported last week that Tottenham were seeking to sign Juve midfielder Weston McKennie this summer.
It was stated that £34million would be enough to take McKennie to North London, but Paul Pogba’s injury was a problem.
Pogba’s meniscus issue leaves Juventus a little short in midfield, especially with Adrien Rabiot and Arthur Melo unwanted.
That situation has now got even worse as McKennie himself has picked up another injury.

Juventus have confirmed on their official website that McKennie has suffered a shoulder injury that will keep him sidelined for at least three weeks – possibly up to the end of the transfer window.
The American missed around three months of last season with a fractured foot and has now suffered another blow.
Paratici seems to be a huge fan of the 23-year-old, but this summer just doesn’t seem like the right time for a move..
Juventus have issues of their own and with McKennie out of action again, a transfer surely isn’t at the forefront of his mind.
Tottenham have four senior midfielders of their own in Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Yves Bissouma and Oliver Skipp, so where does McKennie fit in?
We can’t see this move happening in the coming weeks, but may be one for Tottenham to consider next summer or further down the line.
