According to Il Messaggero, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in appointing former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri as their new manager if Antonio Conte leaves at the end of the season.

The Italian publication has claimed that Tottenham are looking at Sarri as a potential replacement for Conte in the summer of 2023.

There is uncertainly over the future of Conte.

Sarri is in charge of Lazio at the moment, and Tottenham are reportedly monitoring him.

Good managerial appointment for Spurs?

In our view, Maurizio Sarri would not be a bad managerial appointment for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023.

Now, Sarri is not exactly an ‘elite’ manager like Conte, but he is a winner who has done well in his career.

Interestingly, Sarri replaced Conte at Chelsea in the summer of 2018.

The 64-year-old Italian won the UEFA Europa League with Chelsea in 2018-19.

Sarri won Serie A with Juventus in 2019-20.

The Italian worked wonders at Napoli and is doing a brilliant job at Lazio at the moment.

Now, there might be some reservations from Tottenham fans about Sarri, but we think that with the right tools, he could be a success at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
