Fabrizio Romano reports that Pedro Porro did not train with Sporting Lisbon today as he tries to force through a move to Tottenham Hotspur this month, with the two clubs currently in a meeting as Spurs try to thrash out a late deal.
Porro, 23, was expected to complete a move to Spurs with all the reports suggesting a move would go through. But, on Sunday, Sporting moved the goalposts. They asked for a fee on top of what Spurs were already paying, in installments.
So, a deal is hanging by a thread. Portuguese outlet A Bola reported on Monday that Porro is still desperate for a move to go through. He has asked Ruben Amorim, the Sporting manager, to sort out a deal for him to go to Tottenham.
Romano has now taken to Twitter to deliver an update. He says that Porro did not train at Sporting today, after playing in a Cup final for his side on the weekend – a loss to Porto. Romano says he is keen to go, and a meeting is ongoing.

It is all up in the air. Instead of Tottenham moving on to a different target, they are back at the negotiating table with the Portuguese champions for the Spain star, having previously thought a deal had been agreed to sign the right-back.
Can Tottenham pull it off? Well, considering there was a prior agreement and the player is pushing for a move from behind the scenes, there is surely a good chance of it still going through. But Spurs may have to cough up extra.
Time is running out and Spurs’ do not have funds as readily available as the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle or Manchester City. But considering the reports were that it was off on Monday morning, it is slowly starting to gather pace, again.
