Tottenham fans woke up on Monday to the news that the goalposts had changed over a move to sign Pedro Porro, all but cancelling a move – but A Bola say that a move is not dead, and Porro has asked manager Ruben Amorim for help.
Over the weekend, all the signs were that the 23-year-old would be set to join Spurs. While Spurs were unwilling to spend the entire £40million release clause up front, an agreement had been met to pay the figure in instalments.
But numerous reports claim that Sporting have now asked to pay an extra chunk for Porro, in order for Spurs to pay the fee in instalments. That has seen the move almost die. But Porro is desperate to join Spurs. He is pushing for a deal.
Indeed, A Bola now report that Spain international Porro has asked his manager Amorim to help push through a move to Spurs. Whether or not Amorim is willing to give Porro what he wants, and request that he goes, remains to be seen.

Tottenham news: Porro has asked Amorim for help, a move is not dead
Porro would be a wonderful signing for Spurs. It is a deal that Spurs fans are desperate to see happen. Jamie O’Hara reacted live on air on TalkSPORT to the news that a deal for Porro had failed – telling Daniel Levy to “get out”.
Ask any Spurs fans and they will tell you that the weak link in their side is at right wing-back. Emerson Royal has improved in recent matches, scoring against Manchester City and putting in a really solid display against Fulham.
Can Amorim help Porro get a deal done? Well, Spurs fans and seemingly Porro will hope so. But with time running out, even Amorim may struggle to help – given Sporting will want to sign a replacement. It is a saga that will still go on.
