FC Barcelona could reportedly pull out of an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Yannick Carrasco, a decision that could give Tottenham free-reign to bring the winger to north London.
According to AS, Xavi Hernandez’s side are having second thoughts about signing Carrasco in the summer, with Barcelona currently having an agreement in place to snatch the Belgian international. However, the Catalan side are now uncertain about a potential deal.
As per the report, Carrasco has gone from one of Atletico’s best and most important players to a name that now hardly features under Diego Simeone. And as a result, Barcelona could now pull out of their agreement with their La Liga rivals for the 29-year-old.
The news will come as a huge boost for Tottenham, who according to Marca are interested in a double Atleti swoop this summer for Carrasco and goalkeeper Jan Oblak. And with Barcelona angeling to pull out of their existing agreement for the winger, Spurs might be in the clear to sign the forward.

Indeed, Carrasco has the ability to flourish at Tottenham in Antonio Conte’s system, and with Barcelona now looking unlikely to sign the winger at the end of this season, a move to north London could well be on the cards for the Premier League side.
The Atletico star, who has a release clause worth €60m (£53m), has been linked with a move to England for quite some time, and with Barcelona now pulling out of an agreement with Los Colchoneros, a door could now be open for Tottenham to make a stunning summer swoop.
Tottenham should consider signing Carrasco after Barcelona update

Carrasco might be underused at Atletico, but there’s still a player in there who could be of great value to a top European side, and with Barcelona now looking at alternatives, Tottenham could be well-suited for the Belgian international, especially if Conte stays.
With Atletico desperate to sell, Tottenham could even secure a cut-rate deal for the winger, and with Carrasco eager to impress somewhere new, north London could be ideal for the 29-year-old in the summer if Barcelona announce their intention to withdraw their agreement.
