Denzel Dumfries‘ agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has reportedly landed in London in a surprise visit amid rumours that Tottenham are interested in signing the Inter Milan right-back.

According to FC Inter News, the defender’s representative is in the English capital, with the report stating that there could be a chance that Pimenta might meet with Tottenham to discuss a potential deal for Dumfries, with Spurs being heavily linked with the Dutch international.

With an asking price of €60m (£53m) as reported by Inter Live, Dumfries would be quite the signing for Tottenham, who as per FC Inter News are looking to bring in a right-back this month with Antonio Conte not sold on any of his three current options in the position.

Pedro Porro is another player on Tottenham’s radar this January. However, with Chelsea now leading the race to sign the Sporting Lisbon defender, Dumfries could soon be Conte’s next target if the Spanish fullback opts to move to west London.

Indeed, Dumfries is regarded by many as one of the most entertaining fullbacks in all of Europe. And for Conte, the Dutchman could be perfect as a right-sided wingback in the Italian’s Tottenham system, with a deal now possible with Pimenta in England.

Whilst it’s not confirmed yet if Dumfries’ agent will meet with Tottenham or any other English clubs, the fact Pimenta is in London is a telling sign that a transfer might be in the works, with the 26-year-old a perfect player for Conte and for the Italian’s right-sided problems.

Tottenham’s current priority is clearly Porro, with Spurs currently in talks with Sporting to strike a deal with the 23-year-old defender. However, Dumfries could arguably be an even better right-back option for Conte given how adventurous and dynamic the Inter star is.

As we know, the Spurs manager is keen to sign a quality right-back who can be seen as the clear starter in the position ahead of Matt Doherty, Emerson Royal and Djed Spence. And Dumfries would do just that, with the Dutchman perfect for Conte’s style of play.
