Chelsea have reportedly made Sporting Lisbon defender Pedro Porro their new transfer priority after the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk, though Tottenham are also interested in the Spanish right-back.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, the 23-year-old fullback is the Blues’ main priority as Graham Potter continues to spend in the January transfer window, with a right-back next up on Chelsea’s agenda having captured the £88m signing of Mudryk.
Just like with the Ukrainian international, though, Chelsea face stern Premier League competition for Porro, with Tottenham heavily interested in signing the Sporting defender as reported by the Mirror, with Antonio Conte driving the bid for the former Manchester City star.
Both London clubs are eager to sign a new starting right-back this January with Reece James enduring an injury-ridden season with Chelsea as Conte is not a fan of any of his three options in the position in the current Tottenham squad.

And Porro has now emerged as the ideal target for both Chelsea and Tottenham this January, with another transfer battle set to ignite in the coming weeks over the Sporting defender, who has a release clause of £40m, a figure that will be alluring to both Premier League clubs.
Indeed, a release clause also means that a deal can be wrapped up in a matter of days, which could soon result in both Chelsea and Tottenham activating Porro’s buy-out option in a move that could see the Blues wage war against another London rival.
Chelsea are clear favourites to sign Pedro Porro despite Tottenham interest

Chelsea have proven this January that owner Todd Boehly will stand at nothing to sign a player who has caught his eye, with the Blues spending well over £120m on new arrivals already this month as per Transfermarkt. And as a result, Porro is a clear favourite to sign the west London side ahead of Tottenham.
After all, Chelsea need a right-back that can cover for James, and whilst Porro would be a starter for Tottenham regardless of who is out on the injury table, money talks in this market, which could result in the Sporting star heading to Stamford Bridge.
