Tottenham have been chasing Bremer and the Torino defender now claims there have been no updates on his future of late.

Early transfer business has been the order of the summer for Tottenham with four signings already done and dusted.

Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison are already on board and it looks like Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence may follow.

That would be perfect for Tottenham as they prepare for Champions League football again, but there could be even more signings to come.

Barcelona defender Lenglet looks set to join to bolster Tottenham’s left-sided centre back options.

There have been suggestions of Tottenham targeting another centre back though, with Pau Torres of Villarreal again linked.

What about Bremer though?

The Torino defender has been linked with Tottenham throughout the summer and La Stampa claimed last week that Torino director Davide Vagnati was heading to London for talks with Spurs and Chelsea.

The idea here would be for Bremer to offer competition on the right side or in the middle, freeing up Joe Rodon to leave whilst battling Eric Dier, Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez.

It may be something of a luxury signing for Tottenham to pay big money for competition at centre back, but this is the level Antonio Conte wants at Spurs.

Bremer won the Serie A Defensive MVP last season, the same award that Romero won with Atalanta in 2021.

Bremer may well add up as a Tottenham target but the defender seemingly isn’t expecting an imminent move.

The centre back returned to training with Torino on Monday and when fans asked him for the latest about his future, he simply said ‘no news’ according to Football Italia.

We would still expect to see Bremer move on this summer but Inter Milan may be a more likely destination than Tottenham right now – especially if Milan Skriniar ends up leaving for Paris Saint-Germain.
