Reported Tottenham target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is keen on staying in Italy as a summer exit from Lazio draws nearer for the Serbian international.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A star is eager to remain in the country despite growing interest from the likes of Tottenham, Manchester United and PSG, with Milinkovic-Savic finally set to leave Lazio after numerous years with the Roman club.

Reports have indicated that the 27-year-old could be sold this summer for £70m, with Milinkovic-Savic viewed by many as one of Serie A’s top midfielders and a player who could fit in any major club in Europe.
However, this latest update throws a major spanner in the works for Tottenham as well as United and PSG, with Milinkovic-Savic, surprisingly, yet to be linked with a move to the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan, the two Italian sides who could afford the midfielder.
Whilst the Serie A giants aren’t rumoured with a move for Milinkovic-Savic just yet, there’s a strong chance that Italian clubs could now be linked with the Serbian if he is indeed keen on remaining in the country.
And for Tottenham, this news is a major blow, with Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici keen on signing a new central midfielder this summer, with Milinkovic-Savic a perfect candidate to take up the role next season.

Tottenham will be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window this summer given the nature of Conte at this stage in the football calendar, yet despite Milinkovic-Savic wanting to stay in Italy, Spurs should still try and sign the Lazio star.
The midfielder is in the prime of his career, and signing Milinkovic-Savic would be a massive sign of intent from Tottenham, who could land their first world-class signing in some time.
