Tottenham target Romelu Lukaku will reportedly meet with Inter Milan next week as the Serie A giants look to sign the Chelsea striker one year after selling the Belgian.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Baisin, the 29-year-old attacker ‘at his request’ will meet with Inter early next week to discuss a potential return to Inter, just 12 months after signing for Chelsea in a £97m deal.

- £166m superstar among best XI of under-23 free agents this summer
Lukaku’s comeback year in England has not gone to plan, with the striker failing to impress under Thomas Tuchel and reports now rampant that the former Manchester United star was to return to Italy and sign for Inter.
The Nerazzurri are not alone in their interest in Lukaku, though, with Tottenham also reportedly keen on the Chelsea man, with Antonio Conte the manager who has so far got the best out of the world-class striker.
With Tottenham handed £150m to spend on new players by ENIC, Spurs could realistically beat Inter to the signing of Lukaku, though with Harry Kane now staying in north London, it appears that a move for the Belgian could be unlikely.
Moreover, with Inter set to go big in the transfer window this summer, the Serie A titans could be well-positioned to bring Lukaku back to the San Siro, especially with the forward seemingly keen on returning to Italy.
Lukaku meeting with Inter should end Spurs’ hopes of shock signing

Whilst Tottenham will be in the UEFA Champions League next season and Conte as their manager does give the north London side pedigree they have never experienced before, signing Lukaku was always going to be hard, especially with Inter in the mix.
The Lombardy-based club was where Lukaku played his best ever football, and if there was even a hint that the Belgian could return this summer, the 29-year-old would likely take that chance with both hands and sign for Inter as quickly as he left the club last year.
