Tottenham Hotspur have been linked to Wilmar Barrios for months.

There have been conflicting transfer reports regarding Tottenham’s chase for Wilmar Barrios.
He has been consistently linked with the club since a report in The Sun in May during the World Cup and in October via Argentinian radio station Crack Deportivo.
ESPN then claimed Spurs are no longer interested.
Real Madrid were then claimed to have jumped in for the Boca Juniors ace [via Marca], but the latest reports in Argentina claim they are stalling on a deal.
Still stung by the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer and without a big name replacement, Real reportedly are prioritising the signing of a new Galactico.
This means if Tottenham do still hold interest in defensive midfielder Barrios, they have a good chance to move in quickly an do a deal.

There are two reasons in favour of Spurs moving since the report came out claiming they were shelving their interest.
Mousa Dembele picked up an injury which looks set to keep him sidelined for a substantial period, and Barrios has been starring in the Copa Libertadores final first leg.
Tottenham fans were impressed with his performance in the 2-2 draw with River Plate.
Barrios resisted the chance to leave Boca immediately after the World Cup because he wanted to play in the final.
He is one game away from potentially signing off victorious.
Real Madrid’s hesitation can only help Tottenham’s chances if they decide to push ahead and sign the Colombia.
